Shall we egg-knowledge this season treat

It is that time of year for one of my favorite treats; Eggnog.

I don't really like milk unless I am baking or cooking with it.

But I love eggnog. It is perfect on its own as a treat.

As well as being very versatile.

You can make pie, cupcakes, cookies, pound cake, pancakes and even eggnog topping.

The list goes on and on.

I just wish eggnog season was year around.

I would like to share some of my favorite recipes and ways

I love to utilize eggnog.

Let’s start with the star of the show, eggnog.

This is my super simple recipe for eggnog.

That can be made in a blender or with a hand mixer.

This recipe can also be utilized in all other recipes provided.

Spirits optional.

Eggnog

6 large eggs

1 cup granulated sugar

2 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

Nutmeg (to taste)

Cinnamon (to taste)

bourbon, rum, cognac, or a mix (optional)

Instructions

Add eggs, milk and heavy cream to blender or bowl. Use pulse to break yolk if using a blender. If using mixer use blades to break yolks. Add sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon. I recommend a ½ tsp of each but it’s to your taste. Mix until well combined. There you have it, this lovely holiday treat.

Our next yummy eggnog filled food is the pancake. The pancake recipe can be found in my 15 in 15 minutes or less cookbook on amazon.

What you want to do is replace the milk with the eggnog that you made. Our next recipe is our eggnog topping. That can be used on any of these amazing confections.

Eggnog topping

1 cup heavy cream (cold)

½ cup eggnog (cold)

¼ cup powdered sugar

½ tsp nutmeg

1tsp cinnamon

Instructions

In a bowl or blender add your heavy cream and powdered sugar. Blend/mix until stiff. Add cinnamon and nutmeg. Slowly add your eggnog, mix slowly until smooth.
